Blind Gomoku introduces a unique twist to the traditional game of Gomoku. While the basic rules remain the same—aiming to be the first to align five pieces in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—Blind Gomoku adds an element of surprise and strategy with “blind” pieces.
In Blind Gomoku, every third stone you place is disguised as a neutral color, concealing its true color (black or white). This means that both you and your opponent won’t know the true identity of these blind pieces unless a player reveals the board. This adds an extra layer of strategy, as players must anticipate and plan their moves without full visibility of the board, making the game more challenging and unpredictable compared to traditional Gomoku.
This unique feature tests not only your Gomoku skills but also your ability to adapt and strategize under uncertain conditions, offering a fresh and engaging experience for both new and experienced players.

In Blind Gomoku, "Eyes" are special tokens that you can use to gain an advantage by revealing the true color of all "blind" stones on the board, giving you crucial information to help guide your strategy.
Eyes are valuable resources that are earned after every match, with larger rewards for winning. Additional Eyes can be purchased from the in-app Shop page.

In Blind Gomoku, “Revealing the board” refers to the action of uncovering the true colors of all the blind pieces currently on the board. When you reveal the board, any stones that were previously disguised as a neutral color will show their actual color (either black or white). This is a strategic tool that can be used at key moments in the match to gain clarity on the board’s state, helping you make more informed decisions about your next moves.
Revealing the board can be a game-changing action, especially when you’re uncertain about your opponent’s strategy or need to confirm the alignment of pieces. However, using this feature wisely is crucial, as it can also provide your opponent with valuable information.

The Skill Rating (SR) in our game is a numerical representation of your performance and skill level. Every player starts with a baseline SR, which will adjust based on your game outcomes. When you win matches, especially against players or AI with a higher SR, your rating will increase. Conversely, losing matches will decrease your SR, particularly if you lose to players or AI with a lower SR.
The Skill Rating system is designed to reflect your true skill level over time. As you play more games, your SR will stabilize, giving you a clear indication of your skill relative to other players. Additionally, the system accounts for win and loss streaks—consistent wins will lead to quicker increases in SR, while a streak of losses will result in a faster decline. However, the effect of streaks is capped to ensure balanced progression.
Your Skill Rating helps match you with players of similar ability, ensuring a fair and competitive gaming experience. Keep playing, and watch your SR rise as you improve!
